Mike Oakley – FI / Examiner

Mike Oakley

Mike is not instructing at the moment. We just want to say here a huge thank you to him for twelve years involved with Kemble Flying Club as a Flying Instructor and Examiner.   Mike is spending time on his catamaran in Western Australia an area where he gained his early microlight flying experience in ‘trikes’.

We wish him all the very best and expect to see him from time to time in support of the Flying For Freedom charity flying project of which he has been such an important part.

Mike - North Africa

A little history:  In Australia Mike flew in a six week expedition in the North West in the harsh outback conditions. He has since flown all over the UK, extensively in Europe and in India and North Africa.  The North Africa project was on aerial survey for landmines.

His UK flying trips have been as leader taking students on Kemble Flying Club adventures as far as John O’Groates, Northern Ireland and the Isles of  Scilly.
