Our Aircraft

Evektor TeamEurostar EV-97

The teamEurostar is an all-metal, low wing aircraft designed by an approved company in the Czech Republic, Evektor-Aerotechnik. The UK CAA have given Type Approval as a ready to fly 450 kg microlight.

With a 100 mph cruise speed, delightful handling, excellent short field capability and average fuel consumption of around 11 litre/hr, this is a truly fabulous aircraft.

There are already 67 fctory built aircraft flying in the UK. Several of these are in flying schools and one has already passed 3,000 hrs.

The instrument panel includes Air Speed Indicator (ASI), Altimeter, Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI), Compass, Slip Ball, Fuel Pressure Gauge, Tachometer, Oil Pressure Gauge, Oil Temp, CHT, Voltmeter, Fuel Gauge and 2 x auxiliary power sockets. Both Kemble Flying Club aircraft have cabin heat and Garmin colour GPS and hour metres.External panels are anodised light alloy or fibreglass. The tricycle undercarriage consists of a spring noseleg and composite main legs with hydraulic disc brakes on the main wheels, operated by either pilot or passenger.

The engine is the Rotax 912UL 80hp version and the stainless steel exhaust and oil cooler is standard equipment, as is the Skydrive coolant carb heat system which protects against carb icing without any input from the pilot.  Both Kemble Flying Club aircraft have the optional 3 blade Kiev propeller fitted and both have the ConAir Thermostatis oil thermostat system which vastly improves warm up time and stabilises oil temperature in operation.

We have two Eurostars in the fleet.

The Ikarus C42

Is a high wing, two seat, side by side tri gear aircraft.  The airframe is of aircraft-grade aluminium with a composite cabin and fuselage shell. This innovative, modern, two seat aeroplane sets the standards in comfort and handling developed by Comco-Ikarus in Germany

The aircraft is a well proven trainer with many flying schools using them around the world with over 1,200 sold since the aircraft was manufactured in 1996.Powered by the Rotax 912UL 80hp engine this gives the aircraft great performance with fantastic economy. The aircraft will comfortably cruise at 90mph burning 12 litres of fuel per hour.

The aircraft has our safety package which includes a built in radio and transponder, lights and a ballistic parachute. The aircraft instrument panel includes an Air Speed Indicator (ASI), Altimeter, Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI), Compass, Slip Ball, Hobbs meter, Oil Pressure , Oil Temp and CHT gauges, Voltmeter, Fuel Gauge and 2 x auxiliary power sockets. The engine is the Rotax 912UL 80hp version and the stainless steel exhaust and oil cooler, the C42 is also fitted with a 3 blade Kiev propeller.

The P&M QuikR

A real motorbike of the skies experience!

The QuikR is a Type Approved flexwing microlight produced by the UK’s leading flexwing manufacturer P and M Aviation.

The QuikR is powered by the Rotax 912S 100hp version with dual stainless steel exhausts and oil cooler is standard equipment, as is the Skydrive coolant

The aircraft has navigation, strobe and landing light, the instrument panel includes an Air Speed Indicator (ASI), Altimeter, Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI) and a compass. It also has the latest MGL Enigma EFIS (Electronic Flight Instrument System). carb heat system like on our Eurostars which protects against carb icing without any input from the pilot.  We also have the ConAir Thermostatis which vastly reduces the warm up time of the engine (less time spent on the ground) and it also stabilises oil temperature while the aircraft is in operation. Our QuikR is fitted with the 3 blade Warp Drive propeller. The topless QuikR is the fastest and most advanced weightshift today with a whopping 100 mph cruise speed. Like with Eurostar about the QuikR  has a maximum takeoff weight of 450 kg.

QuikR facts:
